Tipsy Hill Estate

The Tipsy Hill Estate offers one of the most stunning locations in the McLaren Vale wine region, with a spectacular 360-degree view of the vineyards and gardens.

Cheerful salmon colours of flowering gums, sedums and bougainvilleas, roses, grevilleas, cannas and the red of berries, contrast with the blues of Duranta repens, solanums, iochromas, Hibiscus syriacus, salvias and succulents.

The property takes its name from a 6th century Chinese tea rose planted in the gardens – Rosa Tipsy Imperial Concubine. The rose – named after one of the Four Beauties of Ancient China, Yang Guifei – was so named because the pale pink blooms and alluring fragrance of the rose are said to have made her feel light-headed or tipsy.

Since acquiring the property in 2016 and as part of our commitment to sustainability, we have been transitioning the garden to an increasing number of native Australian, drought-tolerant plants to reduce water consumption on the property. Like any garden it remains a work in progress.

Tipsy Hill Estate offers guided Garden Tours for groups, with options to enjoy refreshments and local produce. Private Dining Experiences, Premium Picnics, Intimate Weddings and Functions are also offered at The Tipsy Hill Estate.

Tipsy Hill Estate is located at 309 Blewitt Springs Rd, Blewitt Springs SA 5171.
